Mr. Cowboy

Against the Wall by Rebecca Zanetti [Review]

Ebook, 278 pages
Published March 25th 2013
Edition Language English

Synopsis

Never challenge a cowboy in the courtroom…
Surveying the proposed site for a high-end golf course should have been a breeze for spunky Landscape Architect Sophie Smith. But when this born-and-bred city girl is suddenly—and quite literally—swept off her feet by a sexy cowboy on horseback, she realizes that the country life has some serious (and seriously steamy!) possibilities. That is, until she finds out exactly who her smokin’-hot wrangler really is.
Cowboy and Tribal lawyer Jack Lodge is desperately trying to block the development. And if that means playing hardball—and being every inch the shark lawyer—so be it. But Sophie is a distraction he didn’t expect. A distraction that makes his blood burn.
Two different worlds. Two opposing sides. And when they finally give into the exquisite temptation, the consequences will shake the foundations of both of their lives…

Review

The first order of business, tell you how much a cowboy is sexy :D OMG I need air :D
Think about all the other alpha males I reviewed about with all the characteristics that leave me swooning and drooling over my kindle, and add the most important and hell the sexiest thing about this gorgeous man, pure cowboy :D

I couldn't ask for more, between a possessive and dominant demeanor, you can also find a wicked, charming and fun man that swooped me off my feet and left me with a wish to ride a horse and get to know the outdoors better ( huge grin ).
Besides all this Jack’s a lawyer who fights for what it's right without any margin for losing.

Sophie you never stood a chance :) Poor girl, she tried, and I mean really tried but who can fight an entire town :D Every single person was trying and succeeding, to make her fall at his feet ( just the fact that she was completely spellbound since the start wasn't much help either :P ) .
I loved this story! I had my WTF moments, I laughed ( a lot ) and I was in serious need of a fan ( mischief grin).
This damn possessive and controlling cowboy is a sight to be seen, and licked, maybe kissed and I don't know (wink wink) maybe have a conversation with and just have dinner ( yeah right ). I would try, I just don't think I would succeed that well :D

There was never a dull moment, in fact I loved the fights, the insecurities and Leila, oh I loved that kid "Boys are stupid" :D and the important talk ( the birds and the bees , oh that would be fun to watch in person).
Another one of those books, you wish you were a fly and got to see the action in person, not just on your imagination :)

A fun, HHHOOOTTT and excellent book to swoon about :D
And one of the most important things, let me just say that Mr. Cowboy has two, jaw drooping brothers and his sister has a sexy tortured male by her side.
Which means I'm about to have a stand out with more cowboys and sexy alpha males :D

Oh I can't wait for that :D More sexy men on their way to mama :D ( and of course too you my dear ladies, I'm not that bad (or I'm I) no I'm not :P )

See you next week ;)

"Hot Ticket" by Olivia Cunning [OPINIÃO / REVIEW]

Autor/ Author: Olivia Cunning
Edição/ Print: 2013
Editor: Sourcebooks Casablanca
ISBN: 9781402245855

Sinopse/ Synopsis:

There are things in bassist Jace Seymour’s past that he is unwilling to share with anyone. To cover his guilt and anguish, he seeks dominatrix Mistress V (Aggie) to temporarily placate his inner turmoil.

Aggie doesn’t have much use for men–besides the power rush she gets when they’re begging for mercy at her feet–but Jace isn’t like her usual clients. His cool defiance and unexpected dominance in the bedroom drives her to distraction and quickly steals her heart.

When circumstances threaten Jace’s position in Sinners, Aggie must help him regain his rightful place in the band while showing him that time and love can heal all wounds

Opinião/ Review:

"Hot Ticket" is the third book of the Sinners on Tour series,  in reading order of events, which means we'll have to wait until August, for Eric's book, and only after it, we can get our hands in Trey's book... I hope I don't die until August!!!

You can check my reviews on books #1 and #2 here: "Backstage Pass" , "Rock Hard".

"Hot Ticket" is about Jace, Sinner's bassist, and my favorite character along with Trey.

Jace is the youngest member of the band. He replaced Jon, after he being kicked out of the band for using drugs. Since then, Eric, the drummer, and Jon's best friend has never accepted Jace, or so Jace thinks.
Jace idolizes Eric, because ten years before, the drummer changed his life without knowing it, making Jace chase his dream and become a professional musician.

Jace had a rough childhood: a secret he keeps from the band.
His mother died in a car accident when he was 9, and his father died in a house fire when Jace was 15.
After loosing his parents, he went to a foster home, where he had to fight to survive. But, no one has ever known Jace's background, not even his band... No one until Aggie.

Aggie and Jace met at the strip club where Brian's bachelor party happened.
Aggie is a stripper over there, and a domminatrix outside it... a pain giver, exactly what Jace needed.

Aggie can't take her eyes of Jace, he's the cutest little thing ever, and when he approachs her, she decides make her life mission, breaking Jace, but it looks like the Sinners' bassist has another agenda.

They get envolved, in a big way, but it's not until after Jace being shot to protect Aggie that thinks got really serious. To help Jace, Aggie went touring with the band, making sure Jace has his rest.

Jon, the former bassist, is back, to replace Jace until his shoulder gets better, but Jon has his own plans, and it's making sure Jace never comes back.
All Jace's insecurities are on surface, like his feelings, the ones he can't deal with... It's going to be a tough trip, especially when the album's curse strikes again, and leads Jace to save Eric's life.

WOW! Such an intense book! The best of the series so far!

I'm so in love with Jace! He's awesome!

Olivia Cunning was brilliant when she created Jace, and she did a great work with writting his book.

Jace is the most intense and mysterious character of the series.
He looks cute and doesn't like the spotlight on stage, but he's actually pretty insecure about his place in the band, with a low self-esteem when it comes to women and a beast in bed!

Aggie is my favorite female character so far. She's so strong, secure of herself, and so dedicated to Jace, even when she thinks she's nothing but a lover to him, she continues taking care of him, not expecting nothing in return.
Aggie takes care of Jace in every way:
Their sex scenes are more than spectacular!
They're both sex on legs, have the libido of ten teenagers and the sexual skills that make readers lost their breathe!

The problem with these books is the permanent padrons the author follows.
In the previous book, Trey was the "glue" between the couples, now Eric takes over his place.
Eric becomes the saviour of Jace and Aggie's relationship, and he even shares their bed a couple of times (OMG! Such hot scenes!!!).

"Hot Ticket" made me stay wake all night, because I couldn't bare to sleep before I finish reading it!

Oivia's writing mantains: rough, raw, sexy and sensual... exquisite!

"Hot Ticket" made my blood run and my heart beating faster. Can't wait for more of Sinners!
